Laura Evans

Laura Evans, Bag Lunch. 2013 Bronze. 9" x 24" x 30"

An intimate cluster of sculptures, Bag Lunch sits on the grass near benches where people eat lunch and enjoy conversation. Tension quietly brews between the common, disposable nature of a lunch bag and the high-value, long-lived material of bronze. Evans’ work revalues ordinary, overlooked objects.
